To show up when customers ask ChatGPT or another AI assistant, make sure it can find your business, read what you offer, and book or ask you something without a person in the middle. We can't promise an AI will recommend you. We can make sure nothing on your side stops it.
Ask one question first: if a customer asked an AI assistant to find a business like yours and book it, could it?
Three things decide that.
- Can it find you?
- Can it read what you offer?
- Can it book, or ask you something, without a person in the middle?
Try it yourself first
Open ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot. Type the question your customer would type, word for word. Don't type your business name. Look at who it suggests, and where it got them from.
If you're not there, the reason is usually on one of the three lists below.
1. Can it find you?
- Your website lets AI assistants in. Some sites block them by accident, through a setting nobody chose. Letting them in or keeping them out should be your decision.
- Your Google Business Profile and Bing Places listing are claimed, correct, and match your website.
- The same name, address and phone number appear everywhere your business is listed.
2. Can it read what you offer?
- Your website says, in plain text, what you do, for whom, where, when you're open, and how to book. Not only in pictures or a PDF.
- Your pages carry structured data: small labels in the page code that tell a machine "this is the business name, this is the service, this is the address".
- You answer the questions customers really ask, in a short FAQ, in their words.
3. Can it book, or ask you something, without a person?
- There is a booking link that works without a phone call.
- Or WhatsApp answers from what your business has written down, books by clear rules, and hands the hard questions to a person.
- You decide what it may do on its own, and what needs a yes from your team.
What lewkAi checks
The Automation Audit now includes how AI assistants see your business. In Map, Build, Run terms:
- Map: we check what an assistant sees about you today: whether it finds you, what it reads, and where a booking gets stuck.
- Build: we fix what's missing on your site and listings, and connect your bookings to WhatsApp or a safe link an AI can use.
- Run: we hand it over, so your team stays in charge of what it may do.
We did it on lewkai.com first
We started with our own site. On 15 October 2026 we added structured data to lewkai.com (who we are, what the Automation Audit is, who runs lewkAi) and a short FAQ on our business page. Our site already let AI assistants in.
Every Monday we also check whether AI assistants mention lewkAi when someone asks the questions our buyers ask. When we started, they didn't mention us on any of them. It's too early to say what the change does. We'll keep checking.
Can AI assistants book appointments with my business?
Sometimes, and mostly by sending the customer to your own booking page. In the UK, Google's AI Mode suggests restaurants and links straight to booking through booking partners (Google, 10 April 2026). If your bookings only happen by phone, an assistant can't book you. A clear online booking link, or a WhatsApp line that books by your rules, gives it a way in.
The part behind the shopfront
An AI can only find, read and use what your business has written down and made easy to use. Writing that down, and keeping it right, is repetitive work. Hand the repetitive work to AI, and keep the decisions with your people.
